Next Generation: Breast Cancer Meeting Highlights

The second Next Generation: Breast Cancer (NG:BC) meeting took place on 27-28th February 2020, in London. Chaired by Mr Henry Cain (Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon; Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle), the meeting objective was to support senior oncological and surgical Specialist Registrars and early Consultants in developing their breadth of knowledge and providing learnings applicable to their daily practice and patient care, as well as growing their network of peers.

Presentations from the expert faculty covered topics including neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment of breast cancer, surgical trials and sexual dysfunction in patients who are currently undergoing or have recently completed treatment for breast cancer, alongside workshops on fertility, radiotherapy, surgical management of the axilla and BRCA testing. An overview of these sessions is provided in the NG:BC Highlights Report.
